It tilts vertical for acrylic or oil painting, or lies flat for watercolor painting. Its sturdy, steel frame provides stability and prevents the easel from easily tipping over. It can accommodate a canvas height of 28", or the included adjustable plastic clips can be placed on the legs to allow a maximum canvas height of 54".
